Montana Property Opportunities for the Preservation Minded Sportsman

On the Big Hole River!There unfortunately is a growing tendency throughout the Rocky Mountains to break up large tracts of ground into 20 acre grids. These grids are platted strictly to minimize developer cost, maximize developer profit, and without regard for resource, agriculture, habitat, wildlife or fisheries considerations. We not condone this irresponsible approach to land use, in fact, we abhor it.

We are fortunate, particularly in the Triangle centered around Sheridan, and lying between Dillon, Whitehall and Virginia City. There are large numbers of landowners who have put greed aside, and have gone to great lengths to integrate economic ranch reality with forward thinking conservation/preservation, as well as land use planning and ranch management strategies and techniques.

These preservation orientated ranch owners are "doing the right thing" i.e., keeping their ranches intact as working ranches in perpetuity and minimizing development forever! It is these types of endeavors which need public support and, in our opinion, will eventually greatly diminish the decades old "grid it, plat it and cement over it" mentality exhibited in many areas throughout the west.

Our most effective tool for implementing this preservation, resource protection and recreation approach, is to be a specialized consultant to either a potential buyer or seller.
