We assist hundreds of clients in some of the most special,
remote and wonderfully beautiful places on earth - Montana,
Southern British Columbia, Colorado, and Wyoming - with
careful, professional, resource conscious management of working ranch,
vacation, lodging and recreational property.
This
site, and that of Ranches
of the West, details our encompassing, integrated ranch management
activities including agriculture, recreation coordination, resource
enhancement and management, long term preservation planning/conservation easements,
destination resort lodging/lodging operations management and provision
of exceptional, but very limited recreation/vacation home lodging.
The Montana section of this site includes information on
the wonderful small western town of Sheridan, the capitol of the Ruby
Valley, that special,
exquisitely
beautiful area known as the Missouri Headwaters, and Yellowstone Park
which it abuts. This is home to one of the greatest concentrations
and variety of blue ribbon wild fisheries in North America - magical,
trout filled waters and waterfowl Mecca of the Ruby, Beaverhead, Big
Hole, Jefferson and Madison Rivers, which form the headwaters of the
Missouri River.
The British Columbia section of this site features
Southern BC, particularly that area within a one hour radius of
the incredibly spectacular Elk Valley and the little town
of Fernie, a gem yearning to be discovered, in the middle of surprisingly
accessible wilderness. Fernie is home to one of Canada's finest ski
areas, Fernie's Alpine Resort. It is the southern gateway to Banff
and Waterton National Parks and Elks Lake Provincial Park. It is also
the northern gateway to Glacier National Park in the United States.
Terrific golf, fat tire biking and alpine and back country snowcat
skiing are just a sampling of the area's unparalleled recreational
opportunities. And, of course, the incredible fishing in what could
be North America's finest cutthroat fisheries, the Wigwam, Elk and
North Fork of the Flathead Rivers, and wild rainbow and brown trout
filled streams within close proximity including the Bull, Old Man
and Crow's Nest.
